1 Welcome, introductions, attendance, apologies
Cycle-lanes and temporary bus-stop on Leith Walk
LCCC recently asked the Trams Team some questions about these. Here are the questions and the Trams Team’s replies:
- if this section of bike path (photograph 1 below) is not open, it should say so. ‘Dismount’ suggests that the path is partially open.
- Agreed, cycleway is closed however these signs have been put in by Scottish Power. I will contact our network team to advise and they can make contact with SP.
- in any case, it surely is not open both ways, as the second sign (photograph 2 below) seems to suggest.
- Yes, one way when open
- Why is there still a temporary bus stop at Haddington Place (photograph 3 below), when there’s a spanking new bus stop and shelter at the traditional location further south?
- The stop at Gayfield should be utilised by Lothian before the end of this week I have been advised and we can then remove the temp stop at Haddington Place.
