Police Scotland consultation “How can we provide the best support to people affected by crime?”

Police Scotland is working with partners at Victim Support Scotland on a project to ensure that people affected by crime receive the best and most appropriate aftercare which meets their needs, particularly around the point a Police Officer provides information to an individual about a support service.

The project is keen to hear the public’s views particularly those of survivors, and witnesses of crime and a survey has been launched which will be bolstered by one to one interviews with people who would like to take part – you can indicate this at the end of the survey.

Responses will support the development of valuable insights to improve the experiences of people in times of distress.

Please help Police Scotland by sharing the survey link below so that as many people as possible in Scotland’s diverse communities have the opportunity to take part and have their say. The survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete and is open until the end of August.

Basic details are requested but this is completely optional, and no one needs to enter any personal details to take part; all responses are anonymous. Access the survey at the link: https://consult.scotland.police.uk/strategy-insight-and-innovation/views-about-support-aftercare-for-people-who-exper.

Accessible formats of the survey are available: an easy-read and British Sign Language of the survey are available via the above link.
