Bin & recycling hubs rolling out in Bonnington from today

After the initial announcement and resident consultation back in August, Edinburgh Council are rolling out new ‘bin hubs’ across the Bonnington area.

Streets such as Newhaven Road, Pitt Street and Redbraes Place will now see communal bins (typically black bins on wheels and for use by tenement residents) unified into ‘hubs’ at kerbside.

You can view the Council’s map at Edinburgh.gov.uk to see where your bin will be located.

There may be disruption to resident parking while these new hubs are installed.

The bin hubs will feature metal railings to keep the bins in place and and include a static ‘food recycling’ bin alongside the green-lidded recycling and black-lidded waste bin. You can see examples of them in Albert Street and across Hillside.
