Alongside the Parking Review, Edinburgh Council, who are currently rolling out ‘bin hubs’ across Bonnington and Easter Road, are proposing bin hubs across Leith Walk, Pilrig and Abbeyhill, which includes streets such as Lorne Street, Pilrig Street and Iona Street.

Bin hubs will typically consist of black bins and green recycling bins on wheels as well as food waste bins unified into ‘hubs’ at kerbside in tenemented areas.

The proposals can view viewed at Edinburgh.gov.uk where Edinburgh Council are also gathering feedback.

The bin hubs will also be rolled out in North Leith, Gorgie and Shandon at the same time.
