Students – what would YOU do with them?

(adapted from an email from Edinburgh Council)

Edinburgh Council wants your views on how it manages the housing requirements of the city’s growing number of students.

They are are specifically looking at:

  • the growth of learning opportunities in the city;
  • meeting the needs for student housing through purpose-built student accommodation; and
  • how this accommodation is spread across the city.

It has prepared a paper, showing the background research on this issue and asking nine questions via this survey. Your answers will inform the content of draft planning guidance on student housing.

The paper is available for your comments on the Council’s Consultation Hub at https://consultationhub.edinburgh.gov.uk/sfc/studenthousing from Monday 16 March until Friday 24 April 2015.

If you have any questions about this topic please contact Ben Wilson on 0131 469 3411. If you would like to receive a copy of the paper please contact Marius Hince on 0131 529 4692.
