Recycling changes

Dear secretary

Please see attached information about the third phase of the new recycling service, going live in March.  A list of the streets involved is also included.

The areas this will cover include: Cramond, Corstorphine, Craigmount, Gyle, Stenhouse, Longstone/Kingsknowe, Swanston, Bruntsfield, Ravelston, Broomhall, East Craigs, Clermiston, Broomhouse, Craiglockhart, Oxgangs, Morningside

The web pages are up to date with phase 3 areas as well www.edinburgh.gov.uk/newrecyclingservice

Proposed bus lanes time-changes

Various bus lanes: Edinburgh
Proposed amendments to permitted vehicles (experimental order)

In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, I write to inform you that the City of Edinburgh Council proposes to advertise Traffic Regulation Orders which will change the times of operation to 7:30am to 9:30am and 4:00pm to 6:30pm, Mondays to Fridays inclusive on all bus lanes, excluding those at bus gates, contra flow bus lanes and 24 hour bus lanes.

Motorcycles in Edinburgh bus lanes?

In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, I write to inform you that the City of Edinburgh Council proposes to advertise Traffic Regulation Orders which will permit motor cycles to use the bus lanes, excluding those at bus gates and contra flow bus lanes.

Opinions wanted on Edinburgh Police

Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMICS) is undertaking an inspection of local policing in Edinburgh Division. This is part of a programme inspecting all 14 local policing divisions in Scotland over the next three years. Inspections will assess the state, efficiency and effectiveness of policing. Please complete an online survey.
