Please find below a message from City of Edinburgh Council Trading Standards.
The Trading Standards Team have received complaints regarding unsolicited telephone calls. A number of Edinburgh Residents have been contacted by a business who are cold calling, mentioning Dyson vacuum cleaners and offering to service them.
We have checked with Dyson UK, who DO NOT cold call consumers to offer vacuum cleaner servicing.
Always be cautious when dealing with people who cold call offering goods or services. Don’t provide money or bank details over the telephone, and always ensure that you know exactly who you are dealing with.
Our partners @EdinburghPolice have issued a warning recently about people pretending to be from your bank. Take care!
