Keep a sharp lookout!

Leith Central’s February meeting was presented with evidence of drug-abuse in Pilrig Park. These needles and other dangers were collected from a wooded area of the park the day after the area had (supposedly) been cleared by environmental wardens.

Clearly further action is needed before these parts of the park are safe for FoPP volunteers to work in such area, let alone be considered safe for people to enjoy these parts.

The Clean Leith Forum

The next meeting of the Clean Leith Forum will be held on Tuesday 4th of June at 6pm a the MacDonald Road Library.  This is a very useful event to go to if you want to talk directly to environmental wardens.  The forum, one of five (also Moving around Leith, Health & Lifestyle, Feeling Safe and Employment Opportunities) were set up last year to give people in Leith an opportunity to get involved in active local democracy.

Here is the Agenda: Clean Leith Agenda 4th June
