Keep a sharp lookout!

Leith Central’s February meeting was presented with evidence of drug-abuse in Pilrig Park. These needles and other dangers were collected from a wooded area of the park the day after the area had (supposedly) been cleared by environmental wardens.

Clearly further action is needed before these parts of the park are safe for FoPP volunteers to work in such area, let alone be considered safe for people to enjoy these parts.

Police news

A couple of snippets from the Community Police Officer report:

  • The are police surgeries on Wednesdays, 12 noon to 2pm in McDonald Road library.
  • The safer Leith Forum will take place on Tuesday 4 March 6:30 in McDonald Road library. Citizens will be able to vote on local policing priorities for the next 3 months.

So help decide what local police will concentrate on, while knowing where to go to talk with them about other matters.
