The Council has recently published its latest Development Plan Scheme (DPS) – DPS 2018, which sets out the next stages in the project. It can be found online at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/cityplan2030 and in Edinburgh Council libraries.

The Care Shelter this winter opened on 24 September and runs through until 5 May 2019. The first few weeks have been really busy with an average of 52 people attending per night. Please see below the Care Shelter rota poster for block 2 which covers the dates 29 October–2 December 2018. The poster for the next block will be forwarded a couple of weeks before it starts.

The Scottish Government is currently finalising its policy position on the development of unconventional oil and gas in Scotland.
As part of that process the Scottish Government is inviting views on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and partial Business, Regulatory Impact Assessment (BRIA) of their preferred policy position, that the Scottish Government does not support the development of unconventional oil and gas in Scotland.
These assessments are necessary before the policy position can be finalised and are the latest steps in the approach that the Scottish Government has adopted on this issue. Continue reading
