Support lonely elderly people (and bag a great prize at the same time)

(adapted from an email from mealmakers.org.uk)

We are aiming to raise £7,500 so we can continue to develop our services in Scotland for lonely or isolated older people through food and friendship. Due to an extremely challenging financial climate we’re having to identify new funding sources to support us to continue to grow the work that we do.

To achieve this target, we need to spread the message of our campaign far and wide. It is essential for us to get as many shares and re-tweets as possible on all the posts and announcements and promote the amazing reward prizes that have been donated to us to be purchased during the campaign.

During the next 30 days that the campaign will run, with all the above in mind If you can contribute towards the crowdfunding campaign in any of the below ways, we would be extremely grateful:

  • Share the campaign on Facebook (or Twitter or Instagram)
  • Contribute an in-kind donation. Gift experiences, branded products, restaurant vouchers, concert tickets, sport memorabilia etc.
  • Get your workplace involved. Organise a bake sale, donate a hamper for us to use as an award, hold a sponsored event etc.
  • Promote our Christmas Card campaign. Donate £10 and we’ll send a Christmas card with a message from you to an older person who would appreciate it.

AND

Don’t forget we have some fabulous award prizes which would make amazing Christmas present for someone – so make sure you check them out on our crowdfunding page: https://chuffed.org/project/mealmakers-food-friendship

To deliver our services we rely on the amazing generosity of the general public and businesses to help our charity support older people in need across Scotland’s communities. The kindness of people like yourselves helps make the daily lives of our older members safer and happier.

Thank you for your valued support.
