Leith Programme Stakeholder Update 89 – Pilrig Street Junction Closure – date to be revised

(adapted from an email sent by Alan Dean, Partnership Development Officer, sent on 2016_10_07 at 16:17)

The planned closure of Pilrig Street at the junction of Leith Walk which was due to commence on Monday 10 October will now not take place on that day.

This is because the works to upgrade the gas main around the McDonald Road junction (which was the planned diversion route during closure of Pilrig Street) will not be fully clear of the area by this time. The decision has therefore been taken to revise the date of the closure of Pilrig Street.

A new date for the closure will be confirmed next week. As soon as this new date is known, information will be distributed widely to stakeholders in the immediate and wider area and by a follow up email.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
