City of Edinburgh Council planning application process and the weekly list

If you have ever wondered how planning applications are communicated by Edinburgh Council, this may help you to understand. The Planning Department of Edinburgh Council has posted a blog about the weekly list of planning applications and how these are compiled: http://planningedinburgh.com/2015/04/24/planning-applications-weekly-list

Although they admit that it’s a bit complicated and they acknowledge that for some applications, time  can almost be up by the time they are on the weekly list. Leith Central Council keeps a close eye on the online planning portal and will comment as necessary if it sees a questionable application. It will also try to liaise with the local community to gauge their views. If you see an application that you would want to object to, please contact us.
