This is a sub-group of Leith Neighbourhood Partnership (NP), which brings together service providers with an interest in health to work on the Healthy Leith priority, identified by local people in the 2014-17 Local Community Plan. The Friends of Pilrig Park will be holding a public meeting on Monday, 11th April from 6.00-7.30pm at the McDonald Road Library. As always, FoPP is keen to hear your ideas and suggestions about how to continue to improve the park, so please do come along.
Over the last few months FoPP received a lot of comments about the state of the small play park (in particular since the slide was removed after it was deemed unsafe by City of Edinburgh Council). The Council have since said that they will not be replacing this equipment, so it seems unlikely that any further money will be spent on upgrading the play park in the near future. Continue reading
