Meet the funders

The next Meet the Funders event will take place on Thursday 3 December 2015 and will be held in Portobello Town Hall from 1 to 4pm.

‘Meet the Funders’ is a free marketplace event providing access to funding information for community projects.  It is an opportunity for groups to discuss their ideas with potential funders and collect a range of information about possible sources of grant aid.  The event also offers the groups an opportunity to meet and work together.

Market operator licence application: 125 Pitt Street

Edinburgh Council has received an application for a Market Operator Licence. The Market would be held at 125 Pitt Street each week from 2 – 11 pm.

Anyone wishing to object to the grant of a licence must lodge a written objection or representation specifying the grounds of the objection or the nature of the representation with the Council Solicitor, City of Edinburgh Council, Licensing Service, 249 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1YJ, by 22 November 2015.

Edinburgh’s budget challenge: stakeholder engagement

Leith Programme Stakeholder Update 80 – Foot of the Walk junction – Notification of works and temporary traffic management arrangements

Further to the upgrade of the Foot of the Walk junction layout, completed in June, MacLay Civil Engineering are to install inductive loop traffic detectors (vehicle detection loops) for the new signals at the junction. Whilst the junction is operating effectively, the installation of the loops will further improve this  by automatically adjusting the timings of the signal phases when necessary, depending on vehicle numbers.
