There are two new sources of  grant funded from the carrier bag charge.


For more targeted funding searches you can use edinburgh4community which enables you to  enter details about your groups and purpose of grant sought. There is also a short YouTube video showing how to do a search.

 Good causes in local communities.  Running costs, training, equipment, materials, marketing. Up to £2,000 Constituted voluntary groups


Rolling programme – no deadlines
National Churches Trust Community Grant Scheme





Facilities to enable increased community use .  Capital works –  additions & extensions, accessible toilets, catering facilities. Value of project £25k minimum. £5,000 plus


Any Christian  place of worship



Scotland’s Churches Trust


Preservation, repairs upkeep. Not stated Any Christian  place of worship


City of Edinburgh Council Active Edinburgh Funding Programme Support physical activity & sports events taking place from April 2015 to March 2016
