Why are the cycle lanes not painted the entire length of Leith Walk?
We have asked the relevant Edinburgh Council official and will let you know as soon as we receive a response.
Edinburgh Council tell us ‘Cycle lanes will be installed and marked on Leith Walk in areas where designs that include their provision have been finalised, agreed and delivered such as the current work section between Pilrig Street and Crown Place. The same will apply to the upcoming works to upgrade the Foot of the Walk junction due to commence in February 2015 where the design includes cycle lane provision, the line marking of which will done once the carriageway and footway resurfacing have taken place in early summer of this year. ‘
